Its foodie night tonight for us, Claire and I are going to Fatboy’s The Burger Bar for some good ol’American burgers that will burst our Asian tummies!
Fatboy’s is a homegrown restaurant that serves affordable food since 2009. Laid back vibe lets diners at ease as they dig into the ultimate comfort food, a thick slab of juicy patty flanked with cheese, some vegetables… and bun.. completed with fries. Its super sinful, its fattening, and its really tasty. Whoever said healthy food can be tasty is lying, everybody knows tasty = sinful. Duh.
The Meal
We’re gonna have an appetizer and 2 mains. Beef Chilli Cheese fries and the best selling Wimpy Burger and Philly Cheese Steak.
First up is the Beef Chilli Cheese Fries, the portion is real generous, and the beef flavour is so strong that I couldn’t taste the cheese at all. But whatever man, its so addictive we can’t stop eating it.
Next is Claire’s Philly Cheese Steak sandwich, served with a bunch of fries at the side and we know we’re screwed. See that overflowing cheese on shredded beef steak, I think its super awesome! And its also one of the more affordable item in the menu. I would totally order this everytime, simple and sinful, the key ingredients to comfort food!
Lastly comes my Wimpy Burger, also served with fries.. Too much fries for us.. The Wimpy burger is by no means wimpy at all, its got bacon strips, egg, cheese on top of a thick and juicy beef patty, sandwiched between a sesame burger bun. I always loved burgers, because everything is stacked nicely for you to just dig in and enjoy the flavours mixing in your mouth. Every bite is joy to me. Although I kinda prefer the simplicity of Claire’s Philly Cheese Steak.
Aftermath
We were totally stuffed! Fatboy’s is really a place to get fat! Everyone will have this time where you don’t wanna care so much about your body and just wanna stuff yourself with cheap, messy, sinful but absolutely delicious food like what’s offered here. I would totally come here again! The pricing is a little higher than places like Aston’s, but you do get the generous portion of everything to justify what you’re paying.
Finally, I would just say its worth your penny and your calories. Let’s get fat!
