Guess what showed up at my door. The Asus Zenfone MAX!
Anyways, like a boy-boy given a new toy, I opened it while drooling.. I just love new gadgets! What’s the problem with that! Even though I don’t own this… Okay okay let’s move on.
- 5000mAh Battery
- Powerbank capabilities
- 5.5inch IPS HD with latest Corning® Gorilla® Glass 4
- 13mp Camera with super fast laser auto-focus
I’m kinda surprised at first, the build quality is good, except for the back.. You can probably pass it off as premium stuff with that faux leather look back with metal looking bezel, but when you start picking the back cover apart to access the SIM card slot, you will realised its actually all plastic, nice optical illusion anyways. Then again when you check out the key features, it offers great potential with that big and juicy battery capacity, latest Gorilla® Glass screen and 13mp camera with laser autofocus, all these makes it feel like some flagship phone. But a quick googling reveals that this phone retails at S$249. :O Sounds like a damn good deal to me!
To be honest, this is the first time I’m using a 5.5″ phone. It feels big and heavy. I’ve always chose smaller non-plus phones because I don’t want something that big bulging from my pocket you see. Having a big phone with me will also destroy my wrist ligaments, I have weakened ligaments due to past injuries, so if I hold a brick for too long I might suffer from sore wrist. Sore wrist. Sounded like some song. Whatever lah.
So now it remains to be seen how I feel about this phone sometime later. Stay tuned!
