Hello.
Today, sadly, is our last day at this beautiful place, so we certainly would’ve go visiting the attractions in town.

We were greeted with this view as we step out of our hotel. It’s about 9.30am by the time we’re out, so the sun is already up for some time. But the harsh sunlight doesn’t change the tranquility from the view. Even though I took many many photos of the sacred mountain, Nothing can properly convey the feeling of awe as you lay your eyes on it.

We took all these photos while walking around the North Eastern edge of the lake. The lake was really big, so after a couple of hours, we got tired and took a bus to Mt Fuji Panoramic Ropeway and joined the massive queue to the ropeway.

The queue was exhausting, but again, the view was worth it, somewhat. The ropeway station at the top has a sourvenir shop, a snack booth that sells drinks and dangos, a viewing platform and a tiny shrine about a 15 mins hike to the top. The viewing platform is a nice place to chill but the while place is super crowded. So we found a quiet corner and slowly enjoy our dangos.

The hike to the top doesn’t offer anything better, so there were no photos there.. That would also meant that its not really worth the effort to go up there, go if you have a lot free time.

We sure took our time today, so by the time we climb the many many steps to Chureito pagoda, the sun was already setting.. The climb was excruciating to say the least, in this cool and dry weather, our throats were parched like desert sand, and the worst thing was that I didn’t made sure we have enough water on me..

And as usual, the view at the top was worth it. The crowd wasn’t too bad, probably because of the climb. We lost count of the steps early on, but a quick search online says 400. Wow, no wonder we were so winded going up.

Which side was better? Well, I thought both sides were nice, and with that, we came to the end of the day. It was like a pilgrimage, but I’m all for the journey and the view. Most importantly, it’s the person you’re travelling with, the little adventures with this person, this will make every little thing worthwhile.
