Maybe I am also suffering from withdrawal symptoms since I’m stuffing myself with food and refusing to write on my blog. Still don’t want to admit that I’m back in Singapore. 🙁 And abit sad that my next trip is in 7 month’s time and that I probably can’t travel in June. Supposed to travel in August with my friends too but I don’t think I can either as the next thing I’m doing requires alot of time and energy.
Well shall see how it goes, pretty stressed up as well. And let’s get back to the post!
Sorry I have to start from April 1st first..
Received my amazing mat from Shopee after waiting for a few weeks. I also blogged about it over here -> https://lifeofatypicalcouple.com/2018/04/11/hdb-bto-p10-diatomaceous-earth-bath-mat-from-japan-no-more-wet-and-uncomfortable-feet/
Read to find out why I love the mat so much.
That day I found an ant nest under my electric kettle and I swear I really freaked out. Are the ants stupid or what? Why would they want to build a home under a kettle?
I seriously hope that the ant queen is already dead. How could you do this to my home?!?!?! Lay eggs under my kettle!! FREAKING DISGUSTING OKAY!
They are not here for the food by the way but to build a home, maybe after that they will start hunting for food. Don’t know want to feel sad or disgusted. Sigh..
My snacks from Tokyo. I got the new Nissin Nuggets and french fries instant noodle too and will be trying them soon!
April 2nd Monday
I am actually talking about a certain individual here. With a sweet face but ugly heart. Lots of motives and likes to talk shit about people.
Had Mashed Potato for lunch as I was trying to clear the instant food at home. :p
This is the one with fried onions and croutons. Very salty though. Actually all instant food are salty luh. haha.
April 3rd, Tuesday.
Finally back to work and yong tau foo is the best choice if you want to start dieting again.
Colleague came back from Phuket with more seaweed!
Saw that Jenn Im is coming to Singapore and I was so stoked until I found out that I have to spend $50 for A CHANCE to meet her. Oh wells. I shall wait for her Meet and Greet next time then lol.
Feeling really grumpy that day and went to buy Sotong Onstik and Nuggets to snack on before starting on my “healthy’ dinner.
Mushroom is my favourite liao from the caifan stall now.
April 4th, Wednesday
Had to go Yishun Community Hospital for a meeting this morning.
I was late and had to grab.
And abit of drama going on today because I nearly lost my bracelet and I was a little emotional but felt better after finding out the love story of Merry and Milk from Between. haha.
Lunch today was Laksa from this Cantonese stall at Whampoa Market.
The laksa is good by the way! Very flavourful. The porridge is nice too but sometimes the century egg tastes really weird.
and here’s also the long weekend guide for the upcoming year 2019! Not sure if I will be needing this but see how it goes!
I had MOS burger for dinner, my favourite corn soup and mussels!
Simon ordered the Keema Curry Chicken Katsu Burger. I don’t really like the curry chicken burger. Still prefer their rice burgers and cheeseburgers. 😀
And if you love rilakkuma, you can actually find this over at Sheng Shiong. The Cherry blossom Mug. Not sure if they still have it now.
And I also spotted cadbury dark chocolates! Anyway enough snacks and chocolates for now. My face is getting rounder man!
Simon also got me maltesers because he felt bad that he couldn’t find my usual gummy bears with apple juice! hehe so sweet.
April 5th, Thursday
Lunch for the day and supposed to buy Popiah for my meeting that evening but they were closed. LOL. as always.
They usually closed on thursday by the way. I will share this soon on my next weekly update post. The Sushi popiah is really nice!
Snack that evening. From Japan!
Very addictive. I finished this packet and now I only left the seaweed flavoured one.
April 6th, Friday.
Porridge on a Friday and followed by snacks AGAIN. :/
That day I also talked to Misschewy about HDB housing grant and I went to do some research on the grants. I think mine was $35k? Not too sure also but now I just can’t wait to clear the loan. Soon, soon!
Today’s also the day I’m having beauty pot with the girls!! Have been looking forward to it since before my Japan trip!
We went to Singpost Centre to shop around while waiting for the other 2 ladies to reach.
Snacks everywhere!! Have to control!
We ended up shopping at Fairprice because Jocelyn can’t wait to show me the supermarket here. LOL.
Nearly bought the mussels to share but we have to prepare our stomach for the beauty pot later. So yah next time maybe..
And then I saw this and thought of the steamboat session with XY and Nicole! We are finally meeting this end of the month! Do you know I haven’t try Hai Di Lao before? Damn suaku right..
Thought this Snowball coconut was interesting but the price also very interesting. It’s about $5 plus?
Will you try this?? Pineapple cake but chocolate flavour? I find it very weird leh..
Then we went to Daiso next and I spotted this Horse Oil Hand cream. I remembered Boss telling us that this is good but honestly I find it very odd. And this also reminds me of the horse sushi I had in Tokyo. 🙁
Icecream! Why don’t they have the cone in chocolate flavour? That’s like my favourite ice cream man.
And yay BEAUTY IN THE POT at 1km Mall!
Refreshments while waiting.
The DIY condiments bar where you can mix and make your own sauce! How fun!
Woohoo! Can’t wait to start!
For the soup base, we had Collagen Broth and Tomato Soup! We got sick of the Collagen Broth after awhile and luckily we had the tomato soup to fall back on.
The fried bean curd skin is the bomb by the way. I think I had like 5 of those and I got so jelat after that.
Went home with a satisfied tummy and took a selfie with my husband because he’s lonely. lol!
April 7th, Saturday
Met up with Nic at Soup Spoon to discuss more about the ***. I always have either tomato or pumpkin soup because they have the lowest calories.
This is what Nic sent me after our meeting. How true!
Daphne also got me 5 tau sa pia from Ming Ang Restaurant. RM3.50 only! Cheap hor? She also got me 2 boxes of pias from Melaka.. Wonder when can I go again..
For dinner that day Simon and I had kway chap at Happy Hawker! Such a happy dinner! We didn’t know there’s kway chap here!
April 8th, Sunday
Our typical Sunday breakfast – Roti Prata and Thosai!
Simon you need to stop eating roti pratas. You want a big tummy isit?
Japanese snacks from don’t know when. lol! Too sweet for my liking.
Dressed up in fitness wear for a campaign!
And snack again. This is damn addictive and nice! Like maggi mee.
For dinner we had fried oyster and hokkien mee. Super unhealthy but I was craving for this!
And I shall end this post with this photo because I have decided to do something after thinking about it for almost 6months and I am finally going to do it. I am super thankful that he is so supportive. <3
I shall share with you next time! (:
Till the next, Bye!
