Gyoza-Ya at Paragon Shopping Centre review!

I’m sure you heard of Gyoza-Ya. If you haven’t, It’s fine. I first saw it from a FB sponsored post and I really really really wanted to try it. I mean I really love Gyoza so when there’s a shop that calls himself Gyoza….Ya? That’s pretty much the deal.

It was during our staycation at Quincy’s Hotel (click to read and watch the video!) and we were so hungry because the moment you stepped into the hotel room, you just want to spend as much time as possible inside. So since we were lazy and the hotel is only minutes away from Orchard Road we decided to pop by Paragon to see what we can have for lunch and dinner.

Initially we were looking for a cheaper alternative in a mall full of atas brands. But well its raining outside so we’re not very keen to wander too far off along Orchard Road. While we were on our way to the Food Court, we walked pass Gyoza-Ya and I’m overcame by my spontaneity.

A Japanese themed decor selling what should’ve been an Chinese dish. Actually Chinese is the first who invented Gyoza right? And I have to say Chinese really makes good gyozas too!

So I ordered the Jya Jya men – Thick noodles with minced pork and special miso AND IT WAS SO GOOD. The noodles were thick and firm, some people might not like it especially Simon but I really love it because it was so good to chew on! IMG_0247

Simon had the Truffle Ramen and I could see from his face that he regretted his choice. I mean compared to my noodles, mine looks way better. lol!

We also ordered Gyoza because obviously! 😀

And now check out my noodles after mixing everything together, it looks so healthy and tastes delicious! IMG_0252As for the truffle ramen, he was glad that he added the tamago otherwise it would be quite normal. The egg really makes alot of difference. I also tried the truffle ramen and I couldn’t really taste the truffle.

And lastly, the gyozas were pretty good! They have gyozas in different flavours too so you should really go try them out!
