It was our 3rd month anni and we had korean food! We rarely have korean food, because we liked jap food better. But nowadays our taste bud switched a little and we have been enjoying korean. I think it started from bibimbap, who can resist bibimbap man?
It’s not the first time I saw Manna’s. I walked passed a few times and I always thought it’s a lovely and cute place for dinner. So when its our 3rd month and we have no freaking idea where to go, we just decided to walk in and of course we didn’t regret. 😀
By the way I am in love with korean spoon! BUT not the chopsticks, I had a hard time trying to hold them properly. ><
The appetizers are given to every table.
We wanted to have the big portion Dak-kalbi which is for 2 person to share but I decided to order another dish so that we can have more food choices. Coincidentally I also have craving for soupy stuff that day so I ordered the beef soup which is called Yukgaejang in korean.
The above is the one BIG portion of Dak-Kalbi which S cannot even finish, lucky we didn’t order the ‘for 2’ one.. It was pretty good though, my favourite would be the Tteokbokki because it’s super chewy! hahaha. and the shredded chicken were very tender which I was quite surprised cos usually the meat will be quite hard in this kind of dishes.
Dak-kalbi wasn’t very expensive.. I think it’s about $13-15, also if you take the ‘for 2’ one, it’s $14.80 per pax, which in my opinion is very worth it. The portion is quite scary, I think if you are a small eater like me then you can even share the ‘1 portion’ with another person.
I was quite disappointed with my soup, but S said it was nice. I think I got swept away with his food instead, that’s why I couldn’t appreciate mine. :p
We ordered Pajeon (pancake with green/spring onions) as our side too! There was a small squid in the middle of the pancake which looks quite interesting to me. Truth is alot of things can interest me which is why S says I still behave like a kid. 😀
Good and bad la lol…
As it’s located at Plaza Singapura which is quite near my work place, I would def go back again. It’s very warm and cozy, maybe…. just maybe… it feels like I’m in Korea when I stepped in. 😛
