Back in January I went to Penang for a short 3D2N food trip with my gf. This is my 2nd girls trip but my first food trip hahaha. So today I’m sharing with you the summary of this trip! As usual, details will come later. 🙂

I booked this trip from Airasiago and stayed at Sunway Hotel Georgetown. This is a great location because it is just less than 5 minutes walk to New Lane Hawker Centre!!

It is also my first time taking Airasia and I am happy to say that I’m very happy with their service. I think I like them better than jetstar and tiger air. The seats are more comfortable and their uniform are also nicer HAHAHA.

Alright let’s start with the summary.

Day 1:

Dinner at New lane Hawker Centre.

Had fried oyster, asam laksa and duck egg char kway teow!!

Next we went to Komtar Penang Mall! Wanted to do the rainbow skywalk at the TOP but it was too expensive so we went to Jurassic Research Center/Jurassic Park instead hahaha!

At night we had dinner at Sungai Dua Night Market. If I am not wrong this is a Saturday Night Market and I heard from the cab driver that night market will close when rains too!

Thank god it didn’t rain because the food there are so good!

Satay at 50 and 70 cents RM only!

Hor Fun!

Super good bak kut teh i tell you!

We end the night exploring the rest of the night market and couldn’t find a taxi home. We even went to a nearby subway to ask for help but there are just no cabs around. Didn’t dare to try uber too on that day. So eventually we took a bus towards the jetty and stopped at Komtar Penang. And obviously we walked back to our hotel.. lucky it wasn’t far!

Day 2

Had brunch at McNair Restaurant! Authentic peranakan food!

then we visit this museum just above the restaurant and it is called the Pinang Cultural Heritage House. Newly opened and super beautiful! We took lots of shots there!

After this, we went to Lebuh Keng Kwee for the famous Chendol and also Ming Xiang Tai to buy bing for our family, friends and colleagues.

next our driver brought us to Finest Coffee and chocolate boutique.

and finally Kek Lok Si Temple to bai Guan Yin before going up Penang Hill! The lightings here at night I heard is super gorgeous but we missed it. :/

Then if you are visiting Penang Hill too! Do try the Famous Penang Hill Ice Kachang here inside Cliff Cafe! And oh there are love locks there too! Will show you photos soon!

For dinner we had Duck porridge and kway chap at Restoran Kimberly! Very chewy and unique kway chap and the duck meat is so good!!

after dinner we went to The Safe Room cafe for dessert.

Shared coconut icecream!

Crazy huge! The whole coconut is filled with icecream!

Day 3.

Had brunch at New lane again because we have no idea where to go!

But this fish head beehoon is so nice we didn’t regret it! The fish is damn fresh! Best fish head beehoon ever!

then followed by Twelve Cups Cafe for crepe cakes and waffle!!

and off we went back to the hotel then to the airport.
