[S-Series] First Trip Since Covid: Melbourne Winter 2022 Pt.2

Welcome to Day 2!

Writing a blog is good, because it forces me to edit my photos! I’m so lazy these days the photos I took almost never gets edited and posted. Begs the question why did I went and take it in the first place.

Anyways, day 2 is the day we go on our Great Ocean Road tour! Getting real excited here! Woke up at 5am because the pick up was at 7.20am… Zombified.

We walked around 500 metres to the pick up point. And we almost died of hypothermia from that 500 metres. A morning breeze sounds refreshing, but here in Melbourne winter, it just sound like death to a couple of tropical animals…

The minibus came on time, it was our salvation.

On the bus, our guide introduced herself and the city. We were quickly settled in and our adventure begins. Our guide brought us to a nearby seaside town for a picnic style breakfast coffee and cake, some people might think this is some sort of a cheap thrill, but I quite enjoy the simplicity.

After breakfast comes a quick succession of photo stops:

The starting of the Great Ocean Road adorned with an arch, some statues commemorating the history of the road and the wife.
Along the way, our guide spotted these Kangaroos from at least 600m away, good eyes.
one of the stops has us out looking for Koalas in the rain, but was greeted by these Australian King Parrots which had grew quite dependent on hand outs by us humans. Sad truth. Let us stop feeding wild animals. By the way this is a male, females have green faces and chests.
Napping koala
wet mossy looking stuff on a tree trunk.
Somebody lost a cap.
A small waterfall, might be the beginning of a new apostle.
Rugged coastline, there’s nothing like this from home.
Not Claire
I don’t know what is she trying to do
Random pole as my photographer
Pink terrorist wannabe
Far Claire
The waves found 2 weak points
Far road

And with this, I end our hectic but eye opening day tour. My experiences reminded me how insignificant I am and any problems I have. So don’t be weak!
