Claire loves to snack P7: Crepe Cakes, Durian Icecream and Gula Melaka Soft Serve

Hihi! You must be thinking this blog belongs to who man? Claire or Simon? Seems like Simon blogs more frequently than Claire?

If I don’t have a side job I probably will blog more but anyway time to share and clear my backlogs!

I just recently came back from Tokyo with more snacks and I can’t wait to eat them. My colleagues could not understand how I manage to stay slim when I am always snacking. It’s very easy actually, I count my calories everyday and make sure I don’t exceed them. I’m not really a foodie so I am always okay to skip my meals and snack on unhealthy stuffs. :p

That probably explains why we can travel so much? I don’t know about you but I travel because I want to see beautiful and amazing things and not because I want to eat delicious food. My first ever food trip was with my friend last year, to Penang and other than that I’ve never went on a food trip before. My stomach can’t take too much food too.

I love my cheese and curry but there’s only so much I can take. :/ This is due to my excessive dieting last time so my stomach is really weak now. BUT that doesn’t mean I don’t like good food. I do have cravings every now and then.

So let’s start this post shall we? And stop ranting hehe

1. Udders Ice cream – Mao Shan Wang Durian Flavour

1

Udders is not new to me, I’ve tried once with Simon and really like their icecream and waffles. But seeing them in Fair Price Express and in durian flavour is definitely my first time. (This is a really delayed post by the way, now I see this everywhere I go, even on Scoot!)

On this day, after visiting my Ahma, Simon decided to indulge in the Mao Shan Wang icecream which costs $6.50!

I don’t have a photo but I would say it tastes pretty authentic. You know some *erhem* brand have unique flavours but all taste really artificial? This one doesn’t. I am not a fan of durian by the way but I do enjoy this~

2. Haagen Dazs – Rose Raspberry and Lychee flavour and Elderflower and Blackcurrent flavour

2

We didn’t finish the icecream. We always buy alot of snacks and can’t finish them. I would recommend you to try the rose and lychee one but not the elderflower. I am not a fan of elderflower so I can’t really appreciate the taste. Anyway I think these 2 are limited editions so I don’t think you can find them in the market anymore. Unless they decided to bring them back.

But honestly? Chocolate for me anytime.

Rose raspberry and lychee

3. Lychee Martini Cake from Olive Bakery

4

Other than Pine Gardens, I found another place that sells awesome Lychee Martini cake! The lychees in the cake are much more bigger than the ones from Pine Gardens and this tastes really good too!

5.5

We tried the carrot cake as well and still love the one over at Cedele!

5

And lastly the Pulut Hitam cake! Not a fan but Simon said it is good!

4. Bread Line Bakery at Whampoa

6

Love the donuts! I always buy my donuts from them! I love that I can keep them until evening time and they still taste fresh and soft. The sugar didn’t even melt!

7

5. Nine Fresh dessert

8

If you watched my IG stories you would have notice that I eat Jiu Xian at least once a week. I just love the jellies and pearls!

9

6. Crave Nasi Lemak

10

Actually I’m not really a fan of Crave. But I do love their chilli. I just hope they can give me more chilli! It’s not enough, never enough!

7. Sunshine soft bun

11

I tried their new flavours, the white chocolate cranberry and white chocolate banana and I really love the banana one. I know they have new flavours like matcha etc and I haven’t got the chance to try them yet! Would love to try soon so I can compare which one is the nicest. 😀

8. Crepe Cake from Ritz Apple Strudel

12

I like the apple strudel but I never thought of trying the cakes from Ritz Apple. Simon just randomly got one that day and we both thought that it tasted really good! I only tried the matcha one though, not sure about other flavours. This slice is about $5.50 if I’m not wrong?

8. Chateraise, Patisserie from Japan

13

I love their jellies and ice creams. I tried almost all the flavours already hahaha.

14

This is another of his ‘I just feel like spending’ kind of day. But not bad lah this cake that he bought to try, quite expensive but worth it. Very very sinful though. And sorry but I forgot about the name already lol.

Not alot of people know I love the pandan cheese cake from Bengawan Solo. if you know this then you are probably quite close to me. 🙂

10. Churros Factory

They happened to have a pop up store at Seletar Mall and we bought the Gula Melaka Chendol Soft Serve to try. It’s damn nice by the way. Wah really make me miss Melaka.. But I hate the bus ride.

11. Paris Baguette

24

You have to try the green tea crepe cake and churros! They are my must order when I go Paris Baguette!

Finally the last one!

12. Oreo thins!

Sharing the mocha flavour today but my fav is actually the tiramisu one. So glad they introduced the thin version! So crispy and nice!

And that’s all for my Part 7 today. Thank you for reading! 🙂
