Life Update: 19th Mar to 1st April 2018 – Batam Spicy Chips, Guzman Y Gomez & 梁照记 Liang Zhao Ji Duck porridge (damn good!)

Apologized for the late update! Wanted to skip this week but I really wanna share some stuffs, like the very yummy duck porridge I had, the chicken fries from Burger King, the affordable Mexican food and the stunt we pulled at the airport.

Simon is suffering from withdrawal.. I bet he must be missing Japan alot now. He had been chionging Anime for one week already. LOL.

Anyway abit regret that I book our Europe trip for this end of the year HAHAHA. I also want to go back to Japan… and it’s cheaper also lol!

But.. I think it’s time to step out of Asia leh.. We can always go back to Japan next year. I already planned to go back in Feb 2019 but then there’s some changes now so I might need to postpone the plan. zzz.

Anyway we love Japan so much that we decided we gonna stay there for a year when we are older. Hehehe. :p

Well let’s wait till then but now let’s look at my update!

19th March 2018, Monday

Had Burger King for dinner. I didn’t know there were machines here at BK too! I’m damn suaku man..

Simon ordered the tendergrill I guess and I had the Chicken fries and drumlets. :p

Drumlets are like my staple now?? Do you realize BK like seldom do advertisements or even engage bloggers? lol

Say Hi Chicken fries! So cute hor the packaging? Kinda reminds me of Japan!

It’s about close to 4 bucks and there are only 8-10 pieces inside. Abit expensive but not bad leh I quite like this!

20th March 2018, Tuesday.

I forwarded the above photo to Daphne. :p I miss her when she is away, she is always there to hear me rant and calm me down. She’s so chill by the way.

then we had Soup Spoon for lunch! I think it’s more worth it to eat at the outlet. We had a really small bowl of Tokyo Stew that day! LOL. I snacked on these crazy spicy chips in the afternoon. It’s very popular in my office hor.. They always buy this back when they go Batam! It’s damn shiok la so I can understand! You all should try this also!

That night I had Chee Cheong Fun for dinner! I’m addicted to Jian Bo Chwee Kueh stall omg.. I love the yam kueh and the Chee Cheong Fun! Time to buy Chwee Kueh next.. Well not that I don’t want to try lah but chwee kueh super oily sia..

Here’s a photo I posted on IG that evening! We are so cute hor? HAHAHA!!

21st March, Wednesday I was looking for chocolates and Daphne told me to check out the fridge. :p I found this and am finishing it already. You can find this at https://www.hellochocolate.asia/ ! They have some pretty exotic chocolates. I think it’s perfect for gifts!

That night I sent the above picture to Simon because he was asking some questions about chingu.

Anyway pretty lame but here’s the background story of chingu. Simon got me this toy because it was damn cute (he bought or I bought? Omg I forgot) and I just randomly named him as *chingu* – friend in korean language. That’s how his name came about. I sleep with him every night and he’s like my best friend!

Simon and I also went to the official opening of So France at Duo Galleria! It was a really fun night and I saw Zong Han and Hazel!!

Of course we must have Wine!

Asked Simon to carry the goodie bag and this is what happened…

So back to Chingu. Simon surprised me with a mini chingu! wahhahaa. so fat the face! My dog in my bed is so skinny now! Kenna abused by me everyday. 😡

We went to Yakun next and got some snacks from Wo Ai Taimei because I was so hungry!

Tried the fried mushroom and it was good!

and the usual kaya toast set!

A reminder to myself that evening! 22nd March 2018, Thursday

I had to go SGH for a meeting and so Siti and I bought lunch from Kaffe and Toast! I had Mee Rebus and helped Daphne to pack Mee Siam too!

Did I tell you before how much I love the Chee Cheong Fun from Kaffe and Toast? Now I love their Mee Rebus too! Quite spicy though! For dinner we had Chicken Chop and Chicken caesar salad from Sean’s western food!

Sean he really put in alot of effort in his cooking!! He always made sure the food looks nice too!! And it’s delicious by the way!

Let’s jump to 24th March, Saturday

Went back to Yishun because it’s end of the month which means it’s time to give allowance!

Finally tried Guzman Y Gomez and it was so good!!

Simon had the Burritos Bowl and I had the quesadillas! The quesadillas were abit soggy but DAMN NICE!

And the burritos was not bad but I prefer my one. :p I saw this in Japan as well and I nearly went in for a meal.

I also spotted Totti Candy Factory at Northpoint City! Yishun is so happening now! But it’s only opened until end May 2018!

I bought porridge from Ban Heng Teochew Porridge and it was quite expensive. One bowl of sweet potato porridge + duck meat + cabbage and total was $9.30. Xia si wo..

But the meat was very nice lah so no complains.. I bought for Ahma anyways.. But she was unhappy with the price. HAHA.

I went home around 7pm to do a video!

Here’s a selfie after my video!

and here’s the video if you are interested!

Simon bought Mcdee for dinner because he wanted to get the rilakkuma toy for me!

LOL. Simon is a fan of rilakkuma and kiiroitori btw. :p

25th March, Sunday

Woke up really early because I need to meet a seller at Plaza Sing. And after I got the clothes from her we went to Yakun for coffee and tea.

Also walked pass this Mini Karaoke place which I thought was so interesting HAHAHA. Abit awkward la but like quite fun?

Then I asked you all about my connecting flight and I am so thankful that so many of you replied <3

If you ever fly scoot to Tokyo then you don’t need to worry about having only 1 hour to rush for your connecting flight. You don’t need to check in your luggage again so it’s actually quite fast and straightforward.

My planned outfits for the trip!

27th March, Monday – I am flying tonight!

I had this 梁照记 Liang Zhao Ji Duck porridge for lunch and IT WAS SOO GOOODDD.

The porridge is so flavourful and the duck meat is so tender!

It’s $3 without the egg but they gave alot of duck meat. The duck rice also looked very shiok by the way!

You all need to try this —> 90 Whampoa Dr, Singapore 320090

That night!! 😀

Mandatory couple selfie. ^^ I think we are getting sweeter and closer nowadays! Not like when we just moved into our house, we quarrel almost every week. :p

Remember I told you I booked Scoot Biz for our flight? We actually forgot and queue at the Economy lane instead. The airline staff was like LOL why you all queue here, you can queue at the priority lane. Oh well. Maybe we are not fated to take Biz class. HAHA.

Since we got some time (after Simon failed to find a pair of slippers and I nearly purchase a YSL bag $3400!?!? ) we went to SATS premier lounge to chill and to find food.

DBS Treasures Lounge was just beside SATS and it looked damn atas, I hope I can go there soon! :p

Made our own Laksa and had some other food and I shall share with you next time. 🙂

Yummy cakes!

And then it’s time and we went to board our plane! After that we were in Tokyo for about 6 days and we returned on the 1st April..
