Have you all heard of the Michelin-starred famous noodles – Mak’s Noodles?
If you have yet so, let me share with you.
Welcoming the Chinese New Year 2017, Mak’s Noodles introduced five new dishes – Braised Abalone and Dumpling of Tossed Longevity Noodle ($14.80), Prosperity King Prawn Tossed Noodle ($13.80), Shiitake Mushroom and Fresh Prawn Wanton Noodle Soup ($7.90), Shiitake Mushroom and Fresh Prawn Wanton Tossed Noodle ($8.80) and Vegetable in Soup ($5.80).
Mak’s Noodles of Hong Kong style are famous for their springy noodles paired with wontons; cooked al dente giving you a nice and crunchy bite, They have a variety of soup noodles, dry noodles and side dishes which sum up to a total of 29 items on their menu.
Michelin-starred Mak’s Noodles have been around for almost hundred years originating from Guangzhou, China back in 1920 and they opened their very first outlet here in Singapore at Centre Point in July 2015.
Mak’s Noodles by far have 3 outlets in Singapore – one in Centre Point, one in Westgate and another over at Vivocity.

King Prawn Tossed Noodles ($13.80)
*only available at CentrePoint outlet
The King Prawn is huge and it tasted really nice and sweet. The prawn also goes really well with the chili sauce!
The portion of the noodles was pretty reasonable to me which leaves me space to try some other side dishes.
I guess I was not really used to Hong Kong style noodles as I find it a little dry but the solution to encounter this is to eat it together with the soup and chili sauce!
I really love the chili sauce though I can’t take spicy food but it’s too good for me to resist. The chili is just right, not too spicy and with a tinge of sweetness!
Abalone & Dumpling Tossed Noodles ($14.80)
The abalone was the highlight of this bowl of noodles.
Abalone defines good fortune to Chinese and dumpling defines togetherness which are the must haves during this festive season!
Furthermore they are only charging $14.80 which is definitely a steal to me!
Vegetable in Soup ($5.80)
*choice of Hong Kong Kailan or Chye Xin
I chose my all time favourite – Chye Xin and this was really good!
I don’t really like vegetable stems because they are very hard but this one at Mak’s didn’t disappoint!
Do not forget the soup by the way, it goes well with the vegetables!
Go try it and see if you like it as much as i do too?
Beef Brisket & Beef Tendon ($16.50)
This is a must try for me, I strongly recommend this dish because it is so flavorful!
The tender meat with the thick sauce just felt so good when I bite into it. Even though it may taste a little salty but I just can’t stop having one after another!
You can only find the new items exclusively in Singapore outlets, go try them and share with me your thoughts!
